Mayfair Lady turned a competitive-looking nursery into a procession when blitzing her rivals at York, and she should be forgiven an underwhelming effort at Salisbury last time, the softer ground playing against her strengths. The excellent visual impression Mayfair Lady created when winning by five lengths is backed up by a fast time, and she can provide in-form trainer Richard Fahey with another big Saturday success.
Newmarket 15:30 - Esoterique
Esoterique saw off the boys when winning the Prix Jacques le Marois, having previously pushed star sprinter Muhaarar close in the Prix Maurice de Gheest, and she can prove too good for her rivals in the Sun Chariot. Esoterique could finish only fourth in last year's Sun Chariot, but she was inconvenienced by the muddling nature of the race, pulling too hard off the steady pace, and she seems to be an improved performer this season in any case.
