Timeform UK SmartPlays: Saturday October 25

Saturday's final bet comes from Chepstow

Majala was rather unfortunate to bump into Sire de Grugy when runner-up in this race 12 months ago, but ended the last campaign with victory at Perth in April, and, with his yard in good form ahead of his return, he gets the nod in a tight handicap...

The good racing is spread around on Saturday. Timeform pick out bets from Aintree, Doncaster and Chepstow.

Katgary - 14:00 Aintree

This is a good quality handicap, in which the vote goes to the unexposed Katgary who looked rather unfortunate in the Fred Winter back in March, and is best not judged too harshly on his C&D sixth the following month. Prolific hurdles scorer Garde La Victoire and Donald McCain's Red Merlin head the dangers.

Golden Steps - 15:15 Doncaster

This is a new trip for Golden Steps but he would have gone close in a hot six-furlong handicap for three-year-olds at Ascot last time but for meeting trouble and looks worth siding with off the same mark. Dungannon comes good in the autumn and should make a bold bid to land this for the second year running, while Seeking Magic has plenty of good efforts to his name in similarly competitive handicaps.

Majala - 16:45 Chepstow

Majala was rather unfortunate to bump into Sire de Grugy when runner-up in this race 12 months ago, but ended the last campaign with victory at Perth in April, and, with his yard in good form ahead of his return, he gets the nod in a tight handicap. Valdez and Grey Gold lead the dangers, the former preferred for the forecast spot.
