Thirsk 14:45 - Cape Xenia
Cape Xenia confirmed debut promise when landing an 11-runner Leicester maiden in September and although she failed to fire on her final start as a juvenile she got back on track with pair of placed efforts this term. Cape Xenia remains open to a spot of improvement and is a big player.
Pontefract 19:10 - Handiwork
Handiwork posted his best effort on the Flat when finishing second at Musselburgh in April, and, with the possibility of further improvement, is taken to land this stayers' handicap. He was a bit below par over hurdles last time but returns to the flat on a fair-looking mark and should relish this test.
Pontefract 20:10 - Making Shapes
This is a competitive-looking handicap but Making Shapes barely broke sweat when making it third time lucky in maidens last month. His opening mark looks fair, and he remains open to improvement, so merits the utmost respect.
