Ayr 16:40 - Homage
Homage comes here on the back of a creditable runner-up effort at Nottingham when he kept on nicely in the closing stages without being able to reel in the ideally-positioned winner. A stronger pace looks to be on the cards here, which will suit Homage, and he remains open to further improvement bearing in mind his lightly-raced profile and top connections.
Windsor 19:20 - Thames Knight
Thames Knight failed to meet expectations at Sandown last time but he had previously run well when finishing runner-up here, and he should be given another chance to build on the promise of that effort. It's still very much early days for Thames Knight and he should have more to offer in handicaps.
Windsor 19:50 - Ghalib
Ghalib failed to complete the hat-trick at Haydock, trailing home behind the impressive winner Scalzo, but it is worth forgiving him that performance as he had looked a sprinter going places when winning his first couple of outings for Ed Walker. Ghalib was campaigned over seven furlongs and a mile towards the end of last season, but he seemed much improved for the drop back to sprinting when bolting up at Kempton and Salisbury, and he can bounce back to winning ways.
