Timeform pick out the best bets on day three of Glorious Goodwood.

Astronereus has been pitched into lofty company for his first start in handicaps (14:05), but this beautifully bred son of Sea The Stars has progressed smoothly in three starts and won a Newmarket maiden with plenty in hand when last seen. Today's mark could prove lenient and so he is taken to see off some more experienced rivals. These are led by top-weight Roseburg, who has been in unstoppable form, but could be vulnerable to an improver today.

The Hannon-Hughes combination may not have not managed a winner so far at Goodwood, however the horses have been running well and Shagah looks likely to do the trick in the 16:20. She was a good second to a potentially smart type on her turf debut when last seen and had a subsequent winner behind in third. With a Group 2 entry suggesting she is highly regarded, she looks the one to be on. As would be expected in a race of this nature, most of today's rivals could potentially pose a threat and Thunder In Myheart looks the biggest danger.

Finally, Championship (16:50) bumped into one at Doncaster last time and can provide the Hannon/Hughes combination with another winner here. Royal Seal got caught away from where the main action unfolded at Newmarket recently and is worth another chance to show she's on a fair mark, while Secret Hint is inexperienced for a race of this nature but has looked most promising so far.
