Ascot 15:45 - Richard of Yorke
Richard of Yorke disappointed at Newmarket last time, but Luca Cumani's lightly-raced three-year-old deserves another chance based on the excellent impression he'd created on his first couple of outings. A winner on debut, Richard of Yorke then shaped nicely on his handicap bow at Sandown, finishing a close-up fourth in a race that has worked out well, and he looks well handicapped based on that performance.
Ascot 16:20 - Puissant
Having shaped well in a couple of strong maidens, Puissant ran out a wide-margin winner on easy ground at Redcar on the final start of his two-year-old campaign, showing useful form. He's not been able to make an impact on either start this season, though he has been set a couple of difficult tasks, and he looks to have been found a better opportunity on his return from a break, up against older rivals who don't possess the same scope for progress.
Musselburgh 17:45 - Phyllis Maud
Phyllis Maud showed much-improved form when winning at Wolverhampton last week and she ought to prove difficult to beat under a penalty. That was Phyllis Maud's first attempt at a mile and a half, and she evidently had no problems with the trip, always in control at the head of affairs. She's not got many miles on the clock and could still be open to a spot of improvement.
