Ghalib was disappointing on his most recent outing here in May, but he was poorly placed on that occasion and had previously created a fantastic impression when winning on his first two outings for Ed Walker, so he is given another chance. Ghalib has improved for the switch to the Ed Walker yard and, relatively unexposed as a sprinter, he remains capable of better.
Newbury 16:45 - Dutch Uncle
Dutch Uncle failed to settle and probably didn't stay when trailing home in last place in a competitive one-and-a-half mile handicap at Royal Ascot, and he can bounce back with the return to 10 furlongs likely to suit. Dutch Uncle has posted some solid efforts in defeat following his all-weather win at Wolverhampton, notably when finishing third to Time Test at Newbury, and he appeals as still being fairly treated.
Newmarket 18:50 - Mister Brightside
Mister Brightside had the misfortune of bumping into a top prospect in Let's Go at Lingfield on his penultimate outing, but he made no mistake when easily justifying his odds-on status to get off the mark last time, and he looks well treated on his first foray into handicap company. Mister Brightside's best effort on the figures was when chasing home Let's Go, having no answer to the winner's impressive turn of foot but drawing well clear of the remainder, and a repeat of that kind of performance ought to be good enough.
