Milan Bound caught the eye in a big-field handicap at Cheltenham on his return last month and looks a big player after a 3 lb drop in the weights here. Quel Elite has fallen to a good mark and ran well a couple of times over C&D last winter, so is considered, while Moon Indigo could be worth a look returning for the in-form John Wade.
The Brock Again - 13:55 Haydock
Oscarteea and Stephanie Frances both impressed when making successful reappearances, but the unexposed The Brock Again similarly made a fine return at Sandown and his handicap third there sets a good standard for his rivals to aim at.
Ballinvarrig - 15:15 Ascot
Ballinvarrig is already a winner over these fences and proved his effectiveness at this trip when a close second at Exeter earlier this month. He can go one place better this time. Ardkilly Witness remains interesting off this sort of mark, though Josies Orders, a three-time scorer over timber last term, shaped encouragingly on his recent chasing bow and may pose the biggest threat to the selection.
