Macagone was below form when fourth here on his reappearance last time, but he is the class act in this field and jockey Joe Brave certainly knows where the winning post is at this venue. He should strip fitter with a run now under his belt and will take plenty of beating, with Hope Again and Kristi's Copilot looking the pick of the remainder.

W W Archie has been beaten as favourite in each of his last four starts, but it could pay to side with him one more time as he looks to have a decent chance on these terms. Golden Viper returns to calmer waters and looks the main danger, while Big City Ralph makes up the shortlist.
#2 Royal Charlotte - Monmouth Park R5 (19:29)
Royal Charlotte was below form when fifth in a Grade 3 at Belmont last time, but she has less on her plate here and can regain the winning thread for master trainer Chad Brown, who incidentally has an impressive record at this venue. Day By Day could make his presence felt, while Bridlewood Cat shouldn't be too far away either.
