Tony Calvin: Two more bets worth having at Haydock

Tony has picked out two bets from Haydock this afternoon

"Jonny Delta also looks a very generous price at 28.027/1 in the 15:45. His jockey should be able to do 9st 9lb and I am struggling to work out why he is such a big price off his feather weight."

Tony Calvin has cast his expert eye across racing at Haydock and selected two horses well worth your hard-earned this Saturday...

I have already put up two bets at Kempton - read those here - and I am following up with a brace of big-priced selections at Haydock.

The main tip was going to be Valleyofmilan at 30.029/1 in the 15:10 at Haydock. But he has literally just been pulled out with a bruised foot, so I have had to just delete the 300 words on my case for him!

Jonny Delta also looks a very generous price at 28.027/1 in the 15:45.

His jockey should be able to do 9st 9lb and I am struggling to work out why he is such a big price off his feather weight. Sure, this is a very competitive race but he split Teo Vivo and Serenity Now at Musselburgh last time and gets a 1lb pull with the winner for a 1¼ length beating. And he is getting on for three times Teo Vivo's price.

Alzammaar completes the trio of bets in the 14:35.

Connections have been presumably waiting for better ground for him since his third at Doncaster in December, so at least he comes here a fresh horse, and, again, hopefully Haydock doesn't get too much rain today.

If it doesn't then this horse has a big chance off a mark of 124, just 7lb higher than when winning a good handicap at Newbury this time last year. I think the step up in trip will suit, and his stable has banged in four winners in the past week.
