The PGA Tour has travelled 7,500 miles, across 12 time zones, to reach Port Royal Golf Club on Bermuda's south-west coast.
Of the 77 players who teed-up in Japan on Sunday, just seven have headed to the small North Atlantic island for this week's Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
This will be the third staging of a tournament played over a 51-year-old course that was designed by Robert Trent Jones and is owned by the Bermuda Government.
Since opening in 1970, Port Royal has undergone two renovations. The first was carried out by the original architect in 1995, with Roger Rulewich leading the second facelift 13 years later.
This most recent upgrade came at a cost of $14.5m, as the course was being prepared to stage the now-defunct 36-hole Grand Slam of Golf.
This particular tournament, which comprised of the season's four major championship winners, was held at Port Royal for six straight years, starting in 2009.
On the tee
Just three members of the world's top 50 will be among the starters on Thursday.
Among those teeing-up in the British Overseas Territory are Patrick Reed and Matt Fitzpatrick who was a winner last time out at Valderrama.
Another recent victor is fellow Englishman Danny Willett who triumphed at St Andrews earlier this month, so should feel reasonably comfortable if the wind blows in Bermuda.
The third highest-ranked golfer taking part - behind Reed and Fitzpatrick - is South African Christiaan Bezuidenhout who hasn't competed for seven weeks.
On his last outing he finished fifth in the PGA Championship at Wentworth, while seven days earlier he'd stood on the podium at the prestigious Korn Ferry Tour Championship in Georgia.
Latest odds for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship
The 27-year-old has already seen his compatriots Erik van Rooyen and Garrick Higgo claim maiden PGA Tour titles this year, so he'll be keen to join them in the winners' enclosure ASAP.
The world No 43 is a three-time winner on the European Tour.
This week's event is certainly wide open, and will be one of the PGA Tour's weaker fields of the year.
Among the recent Korn Ferry Graduates stepping up a tier this season is Mississippi's Hayden Buckley who has started life impressively at the top table.
The world No 160 has already posted a brace of top 10s during his rookie campaign which only got underway last month.
Course details
Located around 770 miles from the North Carolina coast, Port Royal is one of the most highly-rated public courses in the world.
This coastal resort can be stunning on a good day but windswept on a bad one.
It is not the longest of layouts on the PGA Tour calendar, and the fairways are reasonably generous.
Water is only an issue on four holes, although the undulating greens will certainly test this week's competitors.
The iconic par-three 16th is one of the most photographed holes in golf.
