BMW Australian PGA Championship 2025 - Contenders based on current form

Jose Luis Ballester @ 35/136.00

The 22-year-old will be raring to get stuck into the DP World Tour season after his win at the PIF Saudi International golf tournament last weekend. That victory did not come from nowhere as the Spaniard had finished in the top 20 (14th) in his previous outing.

Cameron John @ 150/1151.00

It's always great to get a home player on side and if you can find one who is in form that even better. Step forward Cameron John, the 26-year-old Aussie, who has been performing strongle on the PGA Tour of Australasia. He won the Queensland PGA Championship last time out and has finished in the top 10 at three of his last four events. Yet to win on the DP World Tour, he comes here with the momentum to give it a shot.

Min Woo Lee @ 9/110.00

Another Australian player of interest, and one who relishes playing at this Brisbane venue, is Min Woo Lee. He finished 15th at this event a year ago but won it in 2023 and finished fourth on the leaderboard twice on the trot prior to that. An irresistible record.

Cameron Smith @ 16/117.00

Australian Smith is not in the best form, finishing 47th and 40th in his last two outings, but he loves playing here. He was runner-up last year and, prior to a missed cut in 2023, won the tournament. He will be hoping to bring home the kind of form he displayed at the Majors this year where he finished in the top 20 at two (The Masters and US PGA) and top 30 at the other two.
