There have been a host of technical improvements to the Betfair Forum in recent months and it is also now accepting new sign-ups for selected customers, so we thought it was high time to have a look at some of the more memorable discussions...
We've all had our fair share of gambling near misses and sorry tales, so it's often good to share - as a number of Forumites did here in the 'biggest hard luck stories' thread.
Here's just one example:
"I had laid Leeds £250 in the final game of the magic weekend. With 20 seconds to go and Bradford leading 38-36 the Rref Steve Gansen gave Leeds a penalty. Sinfield goes for goal and 2 pts to level the game. I start celebrating my win. Sinfield misses the penalty and the ball hits the post and falls into the arms of Jordan Tansey (Leeds), he scores the try, it's ok though because he is off side, however Gansen refuses to go to the video ref and awards Leeds the try, they win 42-38."
It's not all bad news on the Forum though, as this thread on 1000.0999/1 winners on Betfair shows - layers beware!
One Forumite writes: "I once asked for 999/1 and was matched on a female Big Brother contestant to be top female (at the time there were only two females left in the house). She left the house via helicopter and my bet was matched. Imagine the layers horror when she returned to the house the following day!!"
From huge priced winners to short priced runners - this thread sees the F1 lovers on the Forum discussing the shortest price a driver has been to win a race after qualifying.
With less than 50 days to go until the tournament kicks off, the dedicated World Cup 2014 Forum is now live. Here, the Forumites share their thoughts on the best tournaments over the years.
Finally, and where better to end this look at the best of the Forum, than with the 'Greatest Ever Thread' on betting shop characters?
