Day 1b - Brutal day for Team Betfair in Oz

Team betfair had a brutal day today and they were on the receiving end of a bad run of cards. Many players did well to survive as long as they did with sets running into sets and full houses.

Team betfair had a brutal day today and they were on the receiving end of a bad run of cards. Many players did well to survive as long as they did with sets running into sets and full houses. Mym was the first to fall I think our only Irish qualifier was missing the bar too much!

Tendertrap was sitting next to Shannon Elizabeth (the actress from American pie) and managed to focus on the poker until he woke up with poket rockets, he even flopped a set but unfortunstely his opponent had flopped a straight so he headed for the rail.

Robh had posititon on Gus Hansen and on a raised pot by Gus he pushed his chips in. After a while gus folded making it the highlight of robh live poker debut. He goes through to day 2 very short stacked on 9500 but as he says" I made it"

Acedude was grinding well until Phil Ivey (chip leader helped by getting quads more than once) joined the table. He ended up going out to him in a threeway all in pot.

TacoBabe was on the same table at hatchem and went out did not see him to find out how.

Peter went out with a set to an over set which was a shame as he had about 30K in chips at the time.

Daveb was up and down but has managed to stay in with 15k.

Protege was on the same table as mick. Mick who is colour blind did some fairly interesting raises much to the amusement of protege. Sadly they both busted, protege on a 75% chance too.

Piran also had a set beaten by a set which knocked him out.
