Now living in a very small town on the outskirts of Durham, I am currently a business manager for a car manufacturer and have been playing poker for about 2 years. Its only this last year I have started to play real poker and stepped up my game.

I mainly play in MTT's although I do a few SNG's from time to time, don't do much cash poker at all. Since January I thought I would start to enter some satellites to live events and I won through and made it to the Irish open.

This was a fantastic learning curve for me. I finished in 220th place out of 729 runners. Last month I won through to the Betfair Portuguese Poker Tour were I cashed in 16th place, which for only my 2nd live event I have to be happy with but I know I could of gone deeper. One bad read cost me deeply .

The players and banter here on Betfair in my opinion are second to none.
