Seize The Moment has hit form for local handler Derek Knight, and has a verdict over tonight’s rival Useful Asset, who in turn holds Sky Princess on another line of form.

Hove delivers the goods on the Open race circuit tonight, and Darrell Williams reckons there are a couple of decent bets, and a lay, worth lookikng at.

Away from Nottingham's live Sky card - previewed elsewhere - Hove also stage an Open race card this evening where I'm particularly drawn to the Stayers race at 21.24.

Useful Asset was beaten comfortably on their meeting 11 days ago and it's hard to see any reason why the form should be reversed this evening, especially with the selection now gifted trap six. Take [2.5] or bigger.

Pine Isle and Sparklee Bernie serve up an interesting match in the 21.07, with the former now back in her beloved trap one jacket. Winner of the Brighton Belle, Claude Gardiner's charge is without a win in six, but could easily end that sequence drawn red. However, I'm siding with Sparklee Bernie, who has won her last six starts at Hove, four in Open races, and offers slightly better value. Look for [3.2] minimum.

Carden Bert is a high class Open racer at best, but has a tricky trap 4 draw tonight in the 20.02 and could be worth taking on at the likely short-odds, especially given his 0-5 record from the black jacket. A small lay at [1.9] should suffice.
