Ed Nicholson takes a look at Hove's and Sunderland's BAGS cards this afternoon...

Sunline Stan looks to have a nice draw from which to operate in Hove's 5.07pm and he rates a decent bet in a race which will probably take little winning this afternoon.

Drawn in trap three, Sunline Stan should have the early pace to clear traps one and two, who are both relatively slowly away, and it would be a surprise if he was not to lead the inside runners here. He tends to run on in his races, so even if the fast starting trap five or six were to lead him going into the first turn, I would be confident he would pick either or both up down the back straight or entering the home straight, and he rates a decent bet at anything over [3.5] this afternoon. He posted a smart 30.73 recently, and I reckon that would be good enough to win this contest.

The best race on Sunderland's card takes place at 8.47pm, an A2 contest, and Yvonne Bell's Near the Beach in trap three is taken to steal a march on his rivals. The Top Honcho June 2007 whelp regularly contests handicap races and as such is used to passing dogs. However, there's every chance he could actually turn handy this evening, possibly being in second place as they enter the back straight and if he can negotiate the first couple of bends without mishap, I would be confident of a good show at a big price. Back him at anything over [5.0].
