Daily Bags Bet: Piers to Jet in this afternoon!

Ed Nicholson's fine form continued with yet another big priced winning nap - this time at an SP of 8/1!
"Pier Jet, housed in trap five, looks to have been given a decent draw here as he should miss the early pace battle on his immediate inside, while he can steer inside the striped jacketed runner at the first bend."
The opening contest at Romford brings together a field of six dogs - four of which are very young and inexperienced.
The two greyhounds with experience are the trap five and trap six runners who between them have won 14 races from 106 races, and I think that that one of them will make it a fifteenth victory today.
Pier Jet, housed in trap five, looks to have been given a decent draw here as he should miss the early pace battle on his immediate inside, while he can steer inside the striped jacketed runner at the first bend.
If that was to happen it may be that Pier Jet will be in a prime position down the back straight and as the only dog in this field to recently break the 25 seconds barrier, a clear run should suffice. The added bonus is that he could be a big price with his recent uninspiring form figures - but dont be misled this May 2006 whelp has won 12 of his 78 races, six of which came in this grade. Back him at anything bigger than [4.0].
Later in the same card there are three A1 contests, the first of which arrives at 3.28pm. Swift Minute won in a lower level last time, but he has a 50% record at this level and he should give us a good run for our money drawn a she is in trap one. I'm banking on him leading the inisde trio of runners and then asserting off the first or second turn. Back him at anythig bigger than [5.0]
