The Greyhound Derby starts at Wimbledon with a split first round on Friday and Saturday and the greatest six-dog competition in the world is featured in length on this week's Betfair Podcast.
Mark Sullivan and Darrell Williams run the rule over the 24 first round heats and seek the assistance of leading trainers Dean Childs and Mark Wallis both of whom field considerable teams in the £100,000-to-the-winner classic.
Childs joins the lads fresh from the success of Lorrys Option in the final of the Regency at Hove on Tuesday and he has interesting news about future plans for the son of dual Derby winner Westmead Hawk and Mark Wallis is candid about the chances of several members of his dozen-strong team.
Martin Delahunty, the County Kilkenny trainer responsible for Special Duke in the final of the Produce Stakes at Clonmel on Sunday, is also on the show with his view of the chances of his charge registering his eighth consecutive victory in the feature at the weekend.
