Seven years a football club employee and still a player-manager of a Sunday League side, Richard was brought up on a diet of playing and watching just about any sport - thus the passion for involvement at all levels, including having an interest on the outcome!

Brought up in wholesome Hertfordshire, a win-at-all-costs mentality has brought with it some big ups...and some equally sizeable downs.

Now very much more on an even keel - marriage and two young children see to that - the concept of long-term gain over short-term pain is much more appealling so that's how Richard now approaches all parts of his sport-mad life.
