Johnny Ward

I got into racing pretty late in life and have no real racing background, though my father was a professional gambler for a short period while living in England in the 1960s and his uncle had to have masses said for himself to stop him from gambling!

My early memories were going to races in the west with my cousins from America, and I became engrossed by the Irish racing scene when I was in college in Dublin.

I live in Dublin and work for setantasports.com, the Racing Post, Betfair and the Sunday Independent and certainly cannot complain about the jobs I do.
