Jamie Lynch

Following on from Andy Capp, Jeff Stelling, Philip Middlemiss (Des Barnes from Corrie), Wayne Sleep and John Darwin (the ‘Canoe Man’), Jamie Lynch is the latest son of Hartlepool to make it big. Overcoming his north-eastern twang, Jamie – or Lynchy as he’s better known – has climbed the ranks in his decade at Timeform, including several years as a racecourse reporter, and now finds himself with the lofty title of Chief Correspondent.

As you may have deduced, Lynchy’s teeth are not his own. The financial rewards of such an important position within the company, assisted by focused and improved punting as part of the Timeform Jury, has enabled him to replace his God-given nashers, which resembled a nit-nurse’s comb, with nice, shiny ones. Lynchy’s remaining ambitions are to accept that Crowded House isn’t the best horse he’s ever seen, to upgrade from a Skoda and to eat crusty bread with Liam Treadwell.
