I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in the betting industry since leaving college. I grew up going racing with my late father who was an avid racing fan and a punter himself. I used to tag along with him to the races at the weekend and have particularly fond memories of the Phoenix Park. Other kids were busy playing in the playground whilst I was trying to sort out my placepot!
I joined Betfair in September 2003 and worked there for 6 years as the firms Irish Communications Manager, before joining spread-betting firm Sportsspread.com as Managing Director. In terms of my own betting, the main sport I take an interest in is Irish/UK Racing. I really look forward to Cheltenham each year and the whole ante post aspect to National Hunt racing.
