Ben started playing tennis at six years of age, and progressed through the years from playing county, regional, national, international tennis up until the age of 18.

He was awarded tennis scholarships to Sutton Academy in 1994 and Morehead State University, Kentucky, in 1997

His favourite surface is Grass, having reached the third round of a Group 1 ITF tournament, losing to Arvind Parmer in three sets. He was also squad coach and hitting partner for Alex Bogdanovic in 1996 -1997

Ben's been working at Betfair for over three years and is jointly in charge of the tennis and motor sports products in the market operations department.
