RSM Classic 2025 - Contenders based on current form
With two third-placed finishes in less than two months, the 30-year-old is doing something right and will be aiming to keep troubling the top of the leaderboard. Prior to last week's third in Bermuda, the American achieved a top 20 at the WWT Championship. He boasts compelling course form too - finishing eighth and 13th on his previous two visits to this week's venue.
Smalley blows hot and cold, with recent apparances seeing him either miss the cut or finish in the top five. He was tied for third in Bermuda last week, prior to that he went home before the week at the Black Desert and before that he was fourth in the Baycurrent. By that patter, he should miss the cut here but perhaps Smalley, who hails from North Carolina so knows about playing in the south, is ready to achieve some consistency. He missed the cut last year and three years ago finished fifth.
Another American who finished tied for third in Bermuda last week. He is not in contention every week but he was 11th at the Black Desert Championship just a month ago. He was born in Oklahoma, so may enjoy playing in the south and should relish the chance to impress in Georgia were, despite a couple of missed cuts, he once finished 16th. At a big price, he is one to have onside.
RSM Classic 2025 - Contenders based on course form
Last year's 25th-placed finish was poor by Harman's standards, and his 44 in 2023 was even worse, but he has a second, 14th and fourth to his name at this venue and the sample size is significant enough to suggest that is no coincidence.
Fifth here last year and with two previous second-place finishes at Sea Island, Hughes simply cannot be ignored at a big price. True, the Canadian missed the cut on his last two appareances but he finished seventh at the Procore prior to that and, his record at this venue, means he's once to snap up.
Power was 11th in the Bermuda last week and that bodes well for his reappearance at a venue where he withdrew last year but has finished fifth and fourth previously. He was also 27th at the WWT this month so the Irishman comes to a favoured course in form.
