Ronnies right on cue in H1

Ronnies Callum (T1) appears to hold a good opportunity of returning to winning ways in Walthamstow's H1 contest run over 475 metres and due underway at 19:43. Mark Wallis' hurdler is nicely drawn next to the fence, and looks capable of making all the running. The likeable son of Knockeevan Major boasts an impressive 50 per cent winning strike-rate in the red jacket, and can land the spoils on his 50th career outing.

Four Minutes (T2) has struggled to dip below the 5.16 sectional barrier during the last few months, and is expected to be playing catch-up from the outset. However, Gary Baggs' admirable veteran is the contender who has enjoyed the most wins in the field at this level, and cannot be ruled out.

Gantara (T3) tends to find plenty of trouble in-running, and is unlikely to be done any favours by the middle draw. John Coleman's outsider needs to travel quicker on the clock as he bids to end an 11-race barren spell.

Questhouse Jimmy (T4) is relatively inexperienced over timber, and should improve in due course. However, with Gary Baggs' fast-starting individual still without a win at this grade after five bites of the cherry, he looks solid laying material.

Too Much Trouble (T5) looks to have decent claims of reaching the opening corner unscathed granted a trademark peppy exit. Paul Garland's classy sort is rated a danger if able to avoid the trouble spots.

Firm Handed (T6) is lightly campaigned over hurdles, and looks an above-average recruit. Kelly Mullins' contestant seems open to more improvement than the majority of the opposition, but will need to step lively from the gates to figure in the finish.

'Arry' and 'Wise' flagged up in A4

Arry Olt (T1) and Wise Digger (T6) look the pair to concentrate on in the A4 contest run over 475 metres and due underway at 20:53.

Arry Olt (T1) has been gradually working his way up the graded ladder since getting off the mark in A7 company in January. John Coleman's promising youngster boasts a likeable profile, and has the strongest win ratio in the grade.

Charlies Dart (T2) boasts every chance of lying handy at the turn. However, Mick Puzey's representative seems to find traffic jams on a regular basis nowadays, and cannot be trusted.

Ballymac Delta (T3) has been competing in Open company, and looks up to the class. Peter Rich's charge is the most lightly raced member of the party, and will be staying on when many have cried enough.

Loughteen Laura (T4) boasts pace in abundance, and looks the likely pacemaker from the coffin box. On the negative side, though, is the fact that Paul Garland's candidate has only managed the one success at the grade from 11 outings.

Harlequin Snowy (T5) has run into bumping in five of her last six starts, and appears to be suffering from a loss of confidence at present. Graham Sharp's old hand is without a win in her last nine outings, and is readily opposed.

Wise Digger (T6) has been struggling to become competitive in his last two races from trap five, but is expected to relish the chance to race out wide. Seamus Cahill's charge is almost certainly better than his recent form suggests, and is the nippiest runner in the field on the clock.

'Buckland' no wally in A2

Buckland Wally (T1) appears to have the race conditions in his favour in the A2 contest run over 475 metres and due underway at 21:49. Set to have his 100th career start tonight, Peter Rich's veteran is unbeaten in the grade and is set to take a welcome drop in class. Although the likeable contender has tasted defeat in his last eight races, the switch to the rails slot is expected to help his cause, and he is expected to dominate proceedings.

Siesta Moonlight (T2) tends to leave the gates with his eyes closed, and is expected to be left behind by the nippier front-runners. Mick Puzey's outsider came from last to first when regaining the winning thread last week, but has a lot more to do on this occasion.

Stride On Babe (T3) is undoubtedly the dark horse. Mark Wallis' charge won six races when based in Ireland, and moved well in her trials. Expected to command plenty of support for her British debut, she looks worth keeping an eye on in the pre-race skirmishes.

Sangria (T4) landed a number of decent wagers when coming from off the pace to take an A3 nearly three weeks ago. However, Mick Puzey's challenger looks exposed at this level, and has a lot to find on the stopwatch.

Sligo Next (T5) looks capable of firing on all cylinders in the opening stages. However, Gary Baggs' contender is still without a success at the grade after five bites of the cherry, and the son of Larkhill Jo will need lots of luck in-running.

Bell Classic (T6) takes a drop in class after an unsuccessful venture into Open class at Coventry a fortnight ago. Mark Wallis' candidate boasts a decent mix of early pace and stamina at the business end, and the Honcho Classic offspring looks a major player out wide.
