Locke and Young flying at Romford

Maxine Locke and Paul Young confirmed their respective kennels to be in sparkling form when both trainers sent out four winners apiece on the 13-race graded card at Romford on Saturday night.

So it would come as no surprise to envisage backers latching on to several runners in their care at the upcoming meetings at the London Road circuit, perhaps starting on Monday.

The evening programme features the three heats of the Gerry Allen Quicksilver Trophy, and Young mounts a three-prong challenge in the 575m event.

The Burton Lodge handler is represented by Thatchers Boy (Trap 3) in the opening heat at 20:35 while both trainers are set to be responsible for 50 per cent of the field in the second heat at 21:09.

Benro Bravo (T1) and Lavenders Glory (T6) attempt to continue Young's rich vein of form while Maxine Locke's sole representative in the competition is Bigwood Snazzy (T5).
