"As for the trainer to watch just now, it can be none other than Seamus Cahill. A four-timer at Sheffield was just top-notch and his team are really firing just now – Jimmy Lollie was just terrific in the sprint, first time at the track."
The Lord won't buy you a Mercedes Benz but he can point you in the right direction after a busy night at Sheffield...
Sheffield's Sky card produced a mixed bag for punters, although Bandicoot Tipoki had favourite backers raising the roof in the main event, the Steel City Cup. But whether you won or lost, keep reading for some clues to upcoming open races.
Staying with the action at what was a packed Owlerton track, Darren Whitton's Bua Montana goes into the notebook after a solid effort behind Carden Bert in the opener. He might have won but for checking in behind the winner and is worth sticking with.
Next in the notebook, not for the first time, must go to Raving Black. He has been tough to win with over four bends, but this return to six bends could just be what the doctor ordered. He looked like a top-class stayer. Can he keep it up?
Loyal Rebel might have blotted his copybook in the puppy race, but don't for one second drop him like a stone. Alec Stone's dog took off in behind, but he'd lost 12 lengths at the start and could just not recover. Back him next time to recoup.
Another 'jolly' who failed to hit the spot was Dazzle Special. But Sheffield is a notoriously difficult track to pass, and she couldn't find a way through at a track she'd never experienced before. But she was well clear at the pick-up! She's still in good heart.
Royal Warrior was impressive in winning over 480m. He was up against some right tools but blew them away with early pace and it will take a good dog to beat him when he returns to his favourite track Belle Vue in a week's time.
As for the final itself, Bandicoot Tipoki underlined his Classic claims for the future in winning the Steel City Cup. He did well to reel in Magna Flintoff off the second bend, railing well and taking advantage as that rival kept middle.
But the dog to take out of the final was Paul Sallis's Farloe Titan. He finished closed up to the principals, and was not disgraced in the slightest. Young enough to improve, he is worth tracking from now on.

t now, it can be none other than Seamus Cahill. A four-timer at Sheffield was just top-notch and his team are really firing just now - Jimmy Lollie was just terrific in the sprint, first time at the track.
Away from Sheffield, the action has been coming thick and fast.
The eye-catcher from Monday's 400m heats at Romford was definitely Bonville Stan, who is flying just now. He heads into the final in very good heart.
And Charlie Lister unveiled another potential crackerjack when RQS Solutions sluiced in on debut. He might not have beaten much, but the time was more than quick enough. Remember the name.
Ans as for Ireland, with the Derby kicking off with three nights of first-round heats, College Causeway was magnificent in winning his heat but tougher tests will come for sure.
But among the early eye-catchers was last year's runner-up Pat Buckley's Slip The Lark who has clearly benefited from a quiet campaign coming to the Classic, and Paul Hennessy's unexposed Tyrur Usain, who looks a dark horse for Classic honours.
