Greyhounds Betting: Keep an eye on Blonde Fern

Wimbledon and Hall Green will be the centre of the greyhound world this week, the Derby host track running a plethora of trial stakes and the Birmingham venue staging Classic stepping stone, The Blue Riband final, wrties the Lord.
Hall Green's semi-finals were hugely enlightening and there is no question that Mark Wallis has his team in ship-shape still.
Goldcrest King remains as fast as dog as there is when he comes away, but his inconsistent trapping remains a bugbear.
Blonde Fern is looking like she is coming back to form nicely. She has had a stop-start year, but there are not too many dogs who can close on an in-full-flow Lenson Express down the far side, but Tony Dean's bitch did just that in her semi before running out of steam. Win or lose Tuesday, she is worth keeping an eye on.
Silverduff Jet is another who shone in defeat in his semi-final, getting no run early when squeezed up by Goldcrest King inside and Toosey Blue outside, but he will get things his own way again soon and should be supported.
Romford's Golden Sprint has been in full flow and Friday's final is exceptional - great to see a recent 'dog to follow' Praematurus in the decider. But among those who did not quite make it, keep an eye on Deanridge Ammo. He remains a very fast dog and, perhaps, the Golden Sprint just came too soon. Watch his progress with interest.
As for a last word on Scotland, watch Agile Minnie continues to progress.
Her six-bend win at Shawfield was terrific and, for one so young and inexperienced, a real springboard to greater things. She starts and stays, indeed connections had entered her for a marathon on the night, which didn't fill!
Another star on the undercard was Droopys Gibson. Ted Soppitt's has always rated this son of Droopys Maldini. He could be in the mould of Bubbly Totti, in that he stays four bends strongly and in time probably further.
As for other thoughts, it was great to see the old boy Droopys Tobey win and it was no walkover, while Plough Lane clearly relished the longer run to the bend to help make it a memorable night for Julie Bateson's kennel.
The victory of Greenwell River was meritorious against hotpots Windy Millar and Slip The Lark, but he needs to rack up a sequence now, while the anticipated clash between Dotland Hit Man and Bubbly Totti was arguably ruined when Greenwell Cool trapped out and moved wide into the big guns. This allowed Drive On Captain to race to success.
In behind in this race, Crown Rover took off but failed to handle the third bend and lost momentum. But there is a big, big race in this chap soon.
And it's well done to connections of Pat Buckley's Scottish Derby winner Cabra Cool. He took his chance brilliantly, when favourite Thurlesbeg Joker took a clump from Forest Master off the second. Would he have got to Cabra Cool without that knock?
We will never know, although we might should they clash at Shelbourne Park in September!
Dogs to follow:
Agile Minnie
Droopys Gibson
Crown Rover
Blonde Fern
Deanridge Ammo
