£5,000 donated to the track's re-homing scheme...
Betfair donated £5k to the Walthamstow Retired Greyhounds as part of their sponsorship of the Trainers Championship which was won by 'Stow trainers Seamus & Teresa Cahill recently.
The money will be used to help fund a new ambitious project with the building of a new 'Dog Mobile' which will be used to travel the country to promote greyhounds as great pets and finding them new homes.
The 'Kennel Club' have given £33k towards the venture and the Walthamstow Owners Association are now working hard in raising the rest of the funds to get the project up and running.
If anyone would like to help in anyway please contact Barrie Clegg - 020 8529 3286 for further information.
