There's plenty of great BAGS action today, and with racing at two of Ed Nicholson's favourite tracks, its no wonder he's picked out one from Nottingham and one from Sunderland to follow this afternoon...

Yvonne Bell's Sorrowful Boy looks to have been given a wonderful chance by the grader at Sunderland this afternoon and is expected to land the 4.18pm, the seventh race on their fourteen race card.

Drawn in trap four, Sorrowful Boy is expected to turn handy around the first bend, and if in the front two (trap three may just lead him) off the second bend he can power on down the long Sunderland back straight onto victory.

He has recorded a smart 27.85 recently, which is marginally quicker than any of his rivals recent times, and the draw does not look a bad one, despite being in the so-called coffin box.

The November 2007 whelp has only had 11 runs in this A4 class, winning four of them, and he is better than this grade when on song. I like the fact he hasn't won for eight, as he is being given slightly easier tasks of late and he really could explode into life today. Back him at anything over [3.5].

Over at Nottingham I very much like the look of trap one, Revelry Hope, in the 1.33pm - the penultimate race on their early morning BAGS card.

The Dinny Joe September 2006 whelp is no youngster but he is still up to running in Open class and won in this A3 grade last time recording a smart 31.15. He has recorded the fastest time in the race, and should, in theory get first run on those drawn in traps two and three - both of whom stay on well. Trap four, Blueisthecolour, is one of my favourites at Colwick Park and he ran a cracker last time behind winning nap Swift Blade. If he was to trap smartly he could have these in trouble, but he is sometimes sluggish away, and had the run of the race on the 2nd October. He is unlikely to have the race run to suit today as both traps five and trap six can break as well - if not at times better - than him. But he would be a danger if getting away to a fast start. But back Revelry Hope at anything bigger than [4.0].
