"Guus Step posted a rapid 27.19 in A4 recently, but then, unsurprisingly, found a three grade hike too much next time out. He has since been open racing, but this A2 should be much more to his liking. Take anything over [3.5] today."

Ed Nicholson takes a look at Sunday's BAGS action....

The best race on Kinsley's BAGS card today is their A4 at 4.46 pm, and I reckon it can fall to Monard Lad in the black jacket. Getting a clear at Kinsley is a difficult enough job, but if Monard Lad can safely navigate through the first two bends I can see him moving up to the leaders paws down the back straight and taking the lead from the home turn.

The Premier Fantasy July 2007 whelp won from this trap a month ago in a lower grade scoring by 2.75 lengths. He showed good early pace that day, but he is not just a one dimensional dog as he stays on well too. With sectional postings of around 5.40 seconds, I'm not expecting him to lead, but he should be too strong for the early paced dogs in traps one and three. Take anything above [4.00].

Meanwhile over at Oxford we wait until the last race on the card before getting involved. This A2 contest at 5.44pm is expected to go the way of trap three Guus Step.

The Brett Lee October 2007 dog shows plenty of early, as many of Brett Lee's produce do, and I'm expecting Terry Kibble's dog to bounce out of the traps and make all. He posted a rapid 27.19 in A4 recently, but then, unsurprisingly, found a three grade hike too much next time out. He has since been open racing, but this A2 should be much more to his liking. Take anything over [3.5] today.
