Ed Nicholson pinpoints a couple of greyhounds form this afternoon's BAGS cards to follow today....

For the highest graded contest on Oxford's BAGS card this afternoon, you have to wait until the third last race at 5.11pm, when six dogs line up in an A2.

Quarrymount Sue has been running well of late in this grade, and as the youngest dog in the line up is arguably open to the most natural improvement. Last time the Top Honcho April 2007 bitch ran an eye catching race to finish just under a length third in a fast 27.50 having led to very near the line.

Her early pace is her forte and she should have enough dash to the corner to put her rivals to the sword here. Something is going to have to make up ground on her to beat her today as she is almost certain to led around the first two bends, as only trap two has posted anything within a length of her speedy sectional 3.70 second breaks.

The one dog I would worry about is her immediate neighbour housed in three, as if that one followed her through then she does possess times better than Quarrymount Sue in top grade A1 contests at Sandy Lane. But with a clear almost certain, Quarrymount Sue is taken to win her first race at Oxford in what will be only her fifth race at the track. Take anything over [3.5]

Over at Kinsley my eye has been taken by the trap two runner in the 5.04pm. Orchid Girl ran a race of real potential last time in this grade when going down by a neck having led all bar the line. She has a clocked a decent 28.93 and is likely to get onto the bunny quickly again, probably leading at the first turn.

The Hondo Black bitch does find this 465m a tad too far, but I reckon the field here is much more to her liking, while her record in A5's in the last twelve months has been incredible. She has raced just four times at this grade winning once, finishing second twice and third once - and don't forget she won an A4 just six weeks ago. Back her at anything over [3.5].
