"In the opening contest at 2.18pm trap four Reenview Joker would seem to have an excellent chance to make it 4-5 in this A6 grade. The May 2007 whelp has been off the card but put in an eye catching performance last time when he sprinted away to a 3.59 sectional and then closed in 24.20 seconds. That run was near to his best and if he can secure a good position at the first bend, then he should run a big race.Take anything over [3.5]."
Ed Nicholson takes a look at Crayford's BAGS meeting and picks out a couple of dogs worth following today
Having run around Crayford myself in charity races, I know that the track is a fairly tight circuit, and with just under 4 seconds from traps rise to first bend there is more than the usual crowding at the first bend than say a more galloping track like Nottingham or Hove.
So, although it's important to get an early lead at most tracks, it's probably more important than anywhere else over the 380 metres trip at Crayford to trap smartly and not be in behind dogs approaching that first turn.
So, for that reason, I dont usually tip up dogs at Crayford as there is more than the usual share of luck required to win any race. But there are a couple I fancy today.

Later on in the meeting Kevinsfort Rose has been given a chance by the grader to win his sixth race in just ten A3 contests. In all he's won ten races and if he can get past the blue jacketed runner early doors he would be very difficult to beat. He holds his form well and has been favourite on his last two outings. The trap two runner is up in grade and as a front runner will capitulate if headed, leaving the inside free for our fellow to run on next to. Back him at anything bigger than [3.5].
