BELLE VUE 19.55
IMOGENS BRIDGE (T1) has been running well on the graded front over four bends at Kinsley. He's got an awful lot on his plate among this calibre of rival though. To have any kind of say on the matter, he will have to really hit the lids running.
GO MARCO POLO (T2) is seeking a treble following a brace of triumphs over Belle Vue's 470 metres standard trip. He is a strong-running individual and the move up to six bends should suit his style of running to a tee. 'Marco' will apply full pressure on the final circuit.
CHARLIES DREAM (T3) will be very keen indeed to cut out the early running. Her strategy will be to quickly put distance between herself and the opposition. The big question is...can she defy the inevitable boarders? She will have to show lots of resilience. Any mix-ups astern would certainly aid her cause.
LARKHILL BIRD (T4) has registered four victories from her last four excursions. She's got a chunk of time in hand on the stopwatch and has the ability to do the business from the front or behind. More than likely she will be trading at very short odds and it will be a huge surprise if she fails to add to her tally.
CARROWKEAL YANK (T5) tends to labour at the start and he will probably be towards the rear of the assembly around the first couple of bends. He does have staying clout however and connections will have to keep their fingers crossed that he can steal the prize.
CAMLIN DIAMOND (T6) is a vastly-experienced campaigner who knows the Belle Vue course like the back of her paw. Speed from the traps is the name of her game and she has a perfect launch-pad to operate from out on the wing.
'ICEMAN' SHOULD PROVE FAR TOO HOT
BELLE VUE 20.40
ICEMAN BRUTUS (T1) has justified favouritism in his last four outings and he is strongly fancied to continue the theme this evening. His opening burst of speed can quickly have the situation under control and a make-all would appear to be on the cards.
BOOZED REBEL (T2) was a short-priced 'jolly' at Coventry last Sunday and she obliged with the minimum of fuss. Her prime goal here is to out-manoeuvre Iceman Brutus during the initial conflict, which will be no mean feat!
ZIGZAG ZIPPER (T3) scored over Belle Vue's 'midi' 590 metres journey during June. Tonight's extra distance shouldn't pose any problems and he warrants maximum respect. A predatory style of attack is expected and he will strain every sinew in his quest for success.
KEANOS MACHINE (T4) is a top-grader over Doncaster's 661 metres trip. He possesses a mighty engine and if the early birds become entangled, this Yvonne Morris charge, won't require a second invitation.
BREAD HEAD (T5) has been in the wars recently and she is overdue a change of fortune. It is imperative she turns up with those trapping boots and throws down the gauntlet the very moment the lids snap open.
TARBROOK TICO (T6) grabbed a share of the minor purse over course and distance in April but his 41.60 time was nothing to write home about. Like the majority in the contest, he will be jockeying for a prominent early position.
'FRISBY' CAN MAKE HIS CLASS COUNT
BELLE VUE 21.10
CALZAGHE FRISBY (T1) on his day is a class act and is capable of running amok if everything goes according to schedule. He is ideally housed on the inside fence and 'Frisby' can grab the reins from an early stage and steadily pull clear.
NOIRS NOREEN (T2) has been crying out for a stiffer test of stamina. It's a tricky assignment but she has bundles of energy and could be viewed as the value alternative. She will be challenging for the pacemaker role and if she sees 'daylight' at any stage, will be reluctant to surrender.
BARNTICK TERI (T3) is a staggered-start specialist, north of the border, at Shawfield. She will have to shave a few spots of time from her 42.42 'Vue' best though to play a major part. She gradually builds up speed along the way and will enjoy any luck on offer.
BARRHILL BLAZE (T4) isn't one to rely upon too heavily but he could run a big race if the mood strikes. He boasts a big lung capacity and if he does manage to succeed it will be a homestretch takeover. Any Betfair backer who is partial to a white-knuckle ride, look no further!
VATICAN SKYE (T5) was seven and a half lengths inferior to Calzaghe Frisby at the Manchester venue last week over 590 metres. Yes, it is a longer trip this evening, but it's difficult to envisage her turning the tables.
MOANING MACHINE (T6) has put in some sterling work on Open Race duty over the past few weeks yet not a great deal to show for his endeavours. He lacks a yard of opening pace therefore has to do things the hard way. Negotiating a trouble-free round he is guaranteed to spice-up the business end of proceedings.
