Lonely looks for hat-trick in six bender

Lonely Lane is currently in terrific form on the graded front at Manchester's Belle Vue track and is seeking an impressive hat-trick.

The May-2005 whelp, trained by Darren Hampson, scored a fornight ago in a 590m contest when clocking a personal best time of 36:10secs.

He followed that up nine days later with a well engineered success covering the standard 470m, setting up a hat-trick bid on Friday.

'Lonely' is once again showing flexability by switch to six bends and on his current form, the son of Hondo Black could take some beating.

Wearing the black jacket in the 21:20 Belle Vue race, connections will be hoping he can storm into a useful lead.

Backers will also be keeping their fingers crossed that 'Lonely' will save enough to keep the main threat, Lee Tanga, at bay.
