"I’ll stay at Swindon for Highview Rocket (7.48) who having beaten Rei Doms Ronaldo in a live Sky televised Open race at Belle Vue last week can go in again."
Darrell Williams briefs us on his best bets for the day in the world of greyhound racing...
Old stagers Anzio and Aint Got Time must know more about each other than almost any other pair of greyhounds, having met a remarkable 21 times previously, with the first named leading 11-10 on the current tally. However, that score doesn't tell the whole story as Anzio has won 3 of their last 4 meetings including when denying his rival by just a short-head last week, while Aint Got Time himself has won only once in his last dozen outings. The latest re-match tonight (Swindon 8.52) can again go Anzio's way, from what looks an ideal draw inside rails favouring Brooklawn Motor . Take [3.5] or bigger.
I'll stay at Swindon for Highview Rocket (7.48) who having beaten Rei Doms Ronaldo in a live Sky televised Open race at Belle Vue last week can go in again. I would have preferred it if he had had a previous run at the Wiltshire track, but the galloping circuit should not unduly worry him and having also scored at Coventry, he looks to have hit form in a big way. I'd be looking for [3.0] plus.
In looking for one to take on at Newcastle I was quickly drawn to Causeway Weeone (12.27) who has won only one in fourteen so far, but my enthusiasm to be against her was enhanced when I spotted the Racing Post had made her their NB, which should keep the price in our favour. They may, of course, be right, as she has only just dropped to this A4 level, but this is almost an A3 anyway looking at the form of her rivals, but with just 3 wins in total from their last eight races it's anyone's race! Lay at [3.5] or lower.
