Nottingham and Sunderland pair are selected.

Blueshavemorefun is an up-and-coming youngster at Colwick Park and has won two from five, but it's the way he does it that has impressed me - he comes from behind.

The May 2007 dog will now be racing in A5 having won in A6 and A7, and he is yet to finish out of the first three. He has also been favourite ([3.0] or less) on every occasion.

Given that he comes from behind (he has won in trap five and six) I would think he will probably be as effective in A5 and A4 as he has been in lower grades, as he has recorded a 31.01 (that's five lengths from A2 class in my book) and he has yet to raced in a crowd less contest. He is definitely one to follow.

Last week he was beaten just 0.75 lengths into third despite trouble and it is clear that it is just a matter of when, not if, he wins in this A5 grade. He will be racing in much higher class in three months time.

Ashfield Tiger had his 99th career run on Tuesday at Sunderland and caught the eye. He has won 14 times, but win number 15 looks just around the corner based on his latest effort. Seven of those 14 wins have come in A4 grade (in just 16 attempts) and he showed that he retains early speed clocking a relatively rapid 5:08 second sectional - one of his best. He has won A2s around Sunderland and three of his A4 successes have been by 7.75 lengths, four lengths and 5.25 lengths. In the past he has never gone three runs without winning at A4 - he is now on run number five! He is getting older, but he has shown recently he retains his speed and with a clear run he can win again soon - maybe on his 100th race?

Review of kennel since last week's column: Newtown Abi finished third on her final run for the kennel. Sadlers Jenny finished last and is removed from the kennel. Burnside Flair finished fourth and is removed from the kennel. Whirlwind Dave missed the break in his first race for the kennel. Mistley Palace ran in a handicap race and was crowded in her first race for the kennel. Salacres Lisa won at Nottingham at an SP of [3.5].
