It's not all about the money, Gordon.
"If Only follows in the footsteps of the great Paul Robinson in ‘staying on’ for five weeks and proving he’s one of the great betting tipsters of his generation."
If Only did the business and is now £100 richer. Read on for your chance to knock'em out and win the money yourself.
There's more to life than money. Even if you're Gordon Gekko, for whom there's also greed and power to look forward to.
Winner Stays On contestant If Only became the second player to win five editions in a row of Betfairs' fantastic competition but was quick to dismiss any speculation it was solely about the dosh.
"Money comes and goes, mate. You earn it, you spend it, you save, you lose it, whatever. But winning Winner Stays On, just about the toughest football tipping competition on the net, that's different, that's special. The other day I was in a car park and me and some other guy were both eyeing up the last free space. It was definitely mine because I was closer so I started to reverse into it; he asked me who I thought I was and why I had a right to it. I told him I was a 5-time champion of Winner Stays On and asked him what he'd ever achieved in his life. He rolled the window down and drove off. "Exactly" I thought".
"I'm going to use the £100 prize money to place a few long-term bets open Betfair's football markets but I don't want to jinx them by telling you what they are."
If Only follows in the footsteps of the great Paul Robinson in 'staying on' for five weeks and proving he's one of the great betting tipsters of his generation. That puts him just a couple of levels below Matthew McConaughey in 'Two For The Money' and betting.betfair's cricket tipster Ed Hawkins who this week was rewarded for his outstanding record and top-notch writing by winning the Betting Writer Of The Year award.
We are now welcoming new entries into this fantastic competition to knock If Only off his perch and of course have the chance to win £100 of your own.
