A tip from the Joker to get your betting day under way...

It was supposed to be a story of angels and demons, but not in this way. Angelholm beat Halmstad 1-0 in the Swedish Cup last night, reawakening some of the Joker's inner demons (there are quite a few, some are still snoozing). He's not been used to two losers in a row for a long time now. Still, tonight's world cup final might help.

You might think he's a month or more premature, but not so. Austria and Croatia aren't in this year's World Cup, so, as we in football like to say to small teams with no hope of ever reaching a real cup final playing each other in meaningless matches, this is their cup final. (Although Croatia have friendlies against Wales and Estonia to come in the next week, so perhaps it's actually their cup quarter-final.)

Hopefully it will be more entertaining than a real cup final. Seven of Austria's last 10 home friendlies have gone Over 2.5 Goals, just like four of Croatia's last five anywhere.
