A tip from the Joker to get your betting day under way...

Vejle surprised neither their fans nor the Joker with a third consecutive goalless draw at home last night, taking the former to the brink of despair and the latter to 2/3 for the week.

Not much gets in the way of the World Cup today, just a smattering of matches in Scandinavia, where they have to make use of all the days when they have 90 minutes of light, and a couple in the US, where the MLS - the World Series of football - continues apace.

You used to find Nirvana in Seattle in the early Nineties and you might find it again if you back the Sounders to be ahead at half-time and full-time at home to DC United tonight. DC have lost 4/4 on the road this season and been behind by the break in three of them. Seattle were 3-0 up at half-time and full-time in their last match at Qwest Field. But Nevermind if it doesn't happen again, right?

(Don't blame the Joker, at least.)
