A tip from the Joker to get your betting day under way...

Last week was one to forget for the Joker. That's exactly what he did, getting away from it all, via the off licence.

He found himself doing a bit of shoe-gazing, wondering about the genealogy of his vintage Italian Supergas and whether it had anything to do with Il Grande Torino, the wonderful team that, led by Valentino Mazzola, won five Serie A titles, went 93 games unbeaten at home and broke many other records. Anyway, to business. In 2010 there is simply Torino. And they are pretty boring. Their final seven home games of the Serie B season stayed under 2.5 goals. But they are a friend to the bettor and thus to the Joker, who nonetheless cautions that you don't expect too much from their first match of the new campaign at the Stadio Olimpico against newly promoted Varese.
