Centre Court at the All England Club

"This should be a comfortable win for Schuettler and the [1.5] on offer is definitely value for money."

As the annual two week feast of tennis begins at the All England Club, ace tipster Ben Caudell selects the best bets. Follow his advice every morning throughout the Championships at Betting.Betfair...

Dmitry Tursunov (RUS) v Rainer Schuettler (GER)

Rainer Schuettler, the 72nd player in the ATP World Rankings and one of the oldest players in this year's men's singles draw, will be playing on the fresh lawn grass courts of Wimbledon for the 12th successive year.

The 34-year-old is the only active German player to have reached a Grand Slam final (2003 Australian Open) and few will know that he was voted ATP Most Improved Player of the year in 2003 and ATP Comeback Player of the Year in 2008. That year, he reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon before being knocked out by eventual champion Rafael Nadal.

Schuettler faces another journeyman in 27-year-old Dmitry Tursunov, who has disappeared from the tennis radar over the last year. He's dropped to a dismal ranking of 147, although this has a lot to do with the ankle injuries he's been fighting since his retirement during his first round match against Mischa Zverev at last year's Wimbledon.

These two players have never played against one another; Schuettler has the better form coming into Mondays match semi final appearance at Queens the highlight. The German has a 6-4 record on grass courts and at Wimbledon, he's 5-5 in all matches. Tursunov who had to qualify to reach the main draw at Queens lost in the first round to Xavier Malisse in straight sets and Marsel Ilhan in the second round of the challenger tournament held in Nottingham. Although his style favours the quicker grass courts, his temperament and injury worries give me little reason to back him.

This should be a comfortable win for Schuettler and the [1.5] on offer is definitely value for money.

Selection: Back Rainer Schuettler @ [1.5] to win match

Yanina Wickmayer (BEL) v Alison Riske (USA)

The relatively unknown Alison Riske from the United States has been in scintillating form on the grass courts. The 20-year old, ranked at 146 in the World, caused a few upsets at the Birmingham international event held a couple of weeks ago by winning a staggering six straight matches (two qualifying rounds) to reach the semi finals. She eventually succumbed to Maria Sharapova's power game, losing in three sets, but on her way recorded a three set victory over Monday's opponent Yanina Wickmayer.

Wickmayer has struggled to adapt her game to the faster lower bounce of the grass courts, she was totally outclassed in the first round of Eastbourne against Kim Clijsters, losing 6-1 6-1 and is yet to win a first round match at the All England Club. This is not be the first round match she would have wanted. Take a risk on Riske at these tasty odds to win the match.

Selection: Back Alison Riske @ [3.2] to win match
