Andy Murray is in to [2.58] to win the Australian Open following his quarter-final victory over Rafael Nadal.

Murray was two sets up and leading 3-0 in the third when the Spaniard was forced to retire with a knee problem.

The result means that the Brit has reached the last four without losing a set. He will now play Marin Cilic, who defeated Andy Roddick in five sets, in the semi-final.

In the first set, Murray lost his serve early on before breaking back in the next game and going on to win 6-3. The second set was a more fraught affair but Nadal wilted in the tie break and surrendered 7-2.

After the first game in the final set, Nadal received lengthy treatment from his physio before losing the following two games. He retired hurt at 3-0 down.
