Dirk Kuyt's Liverpool should be bigger than the [1.91] they're trading at to beat Everton

Lay Liverpool at [1.91] v Everton

Liverpool go into the Merseyside derby unbeaten in six league matches, but there is not a great deal of substance to that run of form. Four of those games have been against teams in the bottom nine and they were unable to beat Stoke and Wolves among that group, which leaves their best results as the 1-0 win at Aston Villa and the 2-0 home victory over Tottenham. The Villa result was arguably lucky, particularly because of the manner of their late winner, and so only the Tottenham win indicates significant improvement from Liverpool. Everton, in fact, appear to have more depth to their better form, as they are unbeaten in nine (five of which have been against teams above them in the table) and have scored in all of those games. Liverpool have won only two out of six at home to top-half teams and have a poor record when conceding, so Everton have a better chance of taking something from this game than the odds indicate.

Lay Genoa at [1.94] v Chievo

Only three points separate these teams in the table and Chievo won the reverse fixture 3-1 in September, so Genoa might not have as much in hand over the visitors as the odds suggest. Genoa have been finding it harder to win in recent weeks, with just three victories in their last 10 games, and Chievo's recent form is more solid. Their last 10 games have featured matches against three of the top four - all of which they lost - but against teams below that group they have won four, drawn two and lost only one (away to seventh-placed Sampdoria). Overall, since losing their opening two games of the season, Chievo have lost only three out of 16 against teams outside the top four and they look sure to test Genoa's wobbly form.

Lay Paris Saint-Germain at [1.91] v Lorient

PSG are one of those big-name teams that it is always worth looking to oppose, as their reputation tends to make them shorter odds than their form warrants, and this is a good opportunity to take them on. PSG are 14th in the table with a 36% overall win rate this season and no better than 50% at home, which hardly makes them a solid odds-on proposition. Only two of their wins, from 13 games, have been against teams in the top half of the table, which indicates that ninth-placed Lorient have a good chance of taking something from this match. The visitors have lost only two out of 13 against teams below them in the table and are above PSG on merit.

"The Villa result was arguably lucky, particularly because of the manner of their late winner, and so only the Tottenham win indicates significant improvement from Liverpool. Everton, in fact, appear to have more depth to their better form, as they are unbeaten in nine (five of which have been against teams above them in the table) and have scored in all of those games."
