What a beautiful week this one has been weather wise, an absolute scorcher that has resulted in yours truly slightly burning his head and now sporting a fine example of a Farmer's Tan.

When the sun is cracking the flags it seems a shame to stay in but being the martyr that I am I have still picked out a few blog entries for you to have a look at!

With the aptly named entry "Heatwave", Bossanova is the first blog of this week's round-up. Although the post is a tad long, I love the description of him trying to play poker in the sun. Anyone who has tried to do so or has even tried to just look at their colour screen mobile under bright lights will sympathise. I also think the paragraphs he writes about his journey on the dreaded Tube are absolute quality and worth reading the post for in themselves. Again, anyone who has used public transport on a regular basis will have been in similar situations!

With the 40th Annual World Series of Poker well under way, it is no surprise there are dozens of blogs reporting on the events or even their own trips out to Sin City. One blog that will probably describe things slightly differently than your usual blogger is my old mate Amatay. He's so far played in his first WSOP tournament, met up with Eli Elezra and Freddy Deeb and even played against Tom McEvoy who won the Tournament of Champions Invitational a couple of days previous, though he wasn't too complimentary about his or many of the old guard's playing styles.

A couple of years ago, when I lived in a pub, I would regularly be woken up by the sound of a poker client beeping frantically to let me know it was my turn to act. Either that or I would wake up at some strange hour, naked apart from my laptop and either pizza or kebab strew across my face and a few other choice places. Whilst BurnleyMik hasn't been covering his electronics with cheap fast-food, he has been playing Razz, yes boys and girls, Razz whilst under the influence of numerous Buds. If like me you have met Mik you will know it would take a bucket load of Bud to get him over the edge! Anyway, read his drunken exploits of the Razz games here! maybe he should have read Marcus Bateman article - The Simplicity of Razz.

One player who is making a stir in the online MTT world is Everton Yorkie who I know from the Raise The River forums although he spends far more time associating with the guys on 2+2. When I first "met" Carl he was a play money fish who was taking shots at the odd MTT, cash game, anything really but has recently dedicated a ton of time to grinding MTTs and has put in some excellent results to say the least. His exploits have not gone unnoticed and his current blog has been terminated as he will be writing on the Two Rags site, a sign in itself people respect his game.

Finally, although not a poker blog, I did find it through one! I think the most comments I ever received on one of my old blogs was 35 and that was because it was on a very touchy subject and wound a few people up. However, I have never seen someone write 170 words and receive 65 comments through it! I haven't even tried to read all the entries but there seems to be some very funny and well written pieces in there, each of them with literally dozens of comments. The lucky sod!

So that concludes this week's mammoth of a poker blog round-up. As always, thanks for reading, good luck at the tables and enjoy the weekend!
