Betfair Poker introduces a truly once in a lifetime poker experience. Represent Betfair on the European team in the inaugural Caesars Cup - Europe Vs The Americas - at WSOP Europe 2009.

The Caesars Cup is a Ryder Cup-inspired team event in which the best of Europe's poker players will take on the best of the Americas. We are proud to announce we will exclusively qualify one Betfair Poker player to join the European team at this elite event in London at WSOP Europe.

There is only ONE seat up for grabs and only Betfair Poker players can win it.

Compete in the WSOPE Caesars Cup leaderboard at Betfair Poker over the next three months, (June to August), and be in with a chance to make the live showdown in London. At the event the winner will rub shoulders with the cream of the pro poker circuit including the world's hottest internet players and multi-WSOP bracelet winners. The event will be screened to a global TV audience so the winner of the coveted wild-card seat has the opportunity to showcase their talents against the very best in the world. This really is your shot at poker stardom.

The Captains for both the European team and The Americas team will be announced on Friday 5th June at a press conference in Las Vegas live at the WSOP. Additional team members will also be confirmed on this day. The two 8-player teams will then face each other in a series of Heads Up and Doubles matches played at WSOP Europe in London on September 25th. The tournaments will be staged for television in the feature table area of the main casino floor.

Exclusive entry to this event at Betfair Poker.

The WSOPE Caesars Cup leaderboard starts 1st June and will culminate at the end of August with the winner setting off to London to mark his/her place in the poker world by competing for the European Team. The leaderboard has been designed to find the best player at Betfair Poker thus taking into account performances at the Betfair Sit and Go and Multi Table Tournament tables. The monthly play-offs and the Final 9-seat play-off ensure that anyone can win their place on the team. There is also more than $40,000 in prize money to be won along the way making this one of the most amazing promotions in the world of poker.

How the Caesars Cup Leaderboard works.

All SNG and MTT activity up to $22 will count towards a Monthly Low Stakes Leaderboard and all SNG and MTT activity more than $22 will count towards a Monthly High Stakes Leaderboard.

The top 200 players on the Monthly Low Stakes and top 100 on the Monthly High Stakes Leaderboards at the end of every month will go through to a Heat Low and Heat High online tournament.

The top 18 in the Heat Low and High tournament go through to the $5,000 GTD Monthly Final online tournament. A player's finishing position in this tournament will determine how many Caesars Cup Leaderboard points he/she earns. Every month the points earned in the $5,000 GTD Monthly Final online tournament will be added up as a player's Caesars Cup Leaderboard points.

Finally, at the end of August the top 9 players in the Caesars Cup Leaderboard will play in the online Caesars Cup Tournament. Places 2nd - 9th in the online Caesars Cup Tournament share a prize pool of $25,000 and see the winner join the European Team in the WSOPE Caesars Cup event live in London, taking on The Americas Team

The Leaderboard will be visible on the WSOPE site Monday 1st June.
