A tip from the Joker to get your betting day under way....

The 16th Mediterranean Games are about to begin in Pescara, Italy. The Libyan U20 football squad has arrived on the peninsula, hot on the heels of their leader, Colonel Gadaffi. The self-styled 'emancipator of women' requested an audience with 700 Italian lovelies (his word, one imagines). Signor Berlusconi was happy to make arrangements.

But what sort of precedent does it set for 23 adolescent Libyans? And would the Colonel be so obliging if Antonio Cassano, conqueror of not less than 600 women in his autobiography, were to holiday in Tripoli?

Even more pressing questions concern the outcome of this evening's game between Libya U20s and Morocco U20s. Like teenagers everywhere, these two are slow starters. The draw's the thing at [3.25].
