A tip from The Joker to get your betting day under way...
No prizes for guessing the country in which St Patrick's versus Shamrock Rovers takes place this evening. These two are as Irish as an absence of snakes and a lack of potatoes.
The Joker's reminded of a cousin from Dublin and his odd habit of ordering three pints of Guinness at the same time, but not drinking them at the same time. Apparently this was customary amongst Feargal and his two brothers, who had left Ireland, because it reminded them of each other and happy times they had spent drinking together.
When the Joker saw Feargal last month, he was rather concerned when Feargal only ordered himself two pints of Guinness. 'Everything's fine,' said Feargal, 'It's just that I've given up beer for Lent.'
Ahead of this League Cup game, St Patrick's home form has improved. They have won four of their last six at Richmond Park, and are worth a punt at [2.50] to win again this evening.
A pint of the black stuff for the Joker if he's right. Just the one, mind.
Recommendation: Back St Patrick's @ [2.50] to beat Shamrock Rovers
