This battle of the underdogs looks like a formality with the giant-killer ready for a first Slam

Samantha Stosur (AUS) v Francesca Schiavone (ITA)
Veteran's Francesca Schiavone (29) and Samantha Stosur (26) will be making their very first Grand Slam final singles appearance this Saturday, in a match that few would have predicted at the start of the tournament.
On Thursday, No.17 seed Schaivone became the first Italian to reach a Grand Slam final when Elena Dementieva surprisingly retired after the first set of their semi-final clash suffering leg problems. Australian Stosur continued her run of good form by cruising to a straight sets win over fourth seed Jelena Jankovic 6-1, 6-2.
Stosur has a 4-1 head-to-head advantage over her opponent, with two wins on the clay. The Australian has been immense at this year's French Open having already defeated the first and second favourites for the title, Justine Henin and Serena Williams. Stosur is known as the Rafael Nadal of the WTA tour because of the amount of top spin she is able to generate on forehand and serve, and looks unstoppable in her quest to become the first Australian woman since Evonne Goolagong Cawley (1980 Wimbledon) to win a Grand Slam tournament.
I believe this match will be a formality. Schiavone is going to struggle with the pace and spin of Stosur's serve, the power of her forehand and superior strength and physical presence that comes with every Stosur performance. This being a final, Schaivone will obviously give it her best shot, however I just can't see how the Italian is going to cope, especially as she generates very little pace on her ground strokes, with the ball sitting up nicely for the Australian to attack. A straight sets victory for Stosur will be the best bet of the final
